Sitoyo Lopokoiyit is a passionate, energetic, and easy going executive with expert knowledge on mobile-financial services, Fintech and accelerating business performance. He has been privileged to lead M-PESA in transforming lives and accelerating growth of mobile financial services in 2 of the largest markets in the world (Kenya & Tanzania) over the past 8 years
He is currently serving as the Chief Officer, Financial Services at Safaricom Limited where he is responsible for growing M-PESA, which has over 27M customers, an annual revenue of over $700 million and revenue growth of over 19% year on year. He is also responsible for delivering major innovations that have impacted millions of lives and revolutionized the global mobile money space such as the first ever contextual mobile money overdraft-Fuliza and Mshwari, a savings and lending product that has over 25M customers. He works in a complex environment that touches on team dynamics and culture.
He has over 15 years’ senior managerial experience from different fields including Oil & Gas (Chevron and Total Kenya Ltd) and in the Retail industry in Kenya
