Profile
Dr. Ibrahim Tirimba Ondabu is a distinguished academic and finance expert with extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. Holding a Ph.D. in Finance and being a member of the Institute of Financial Consultants (IFC), he has dedicated over a decade to advancing knowledge and practice in the field of financial management reflecting his dedication to professional excellence and adherence to global financial standards. As a senior lecturer in financial management, Dr. Ondabu specializes in teaching advanced courses such as International Finance, Business Finance, Corporate Finance and Behavioral Finance. He has also supervised numerous research projects, including undergraduate and graduate theses, contributing to the professional growth of his students.
Dr. Ondabu’s research interests lie at the intersection of finance and economics, with a particular focus on topics such as devolved funds, economic growth, and financial inclusion. His scholarly work has explored areas like development finance, sustainable finance, behavioral finance, emerging market trends, and the impact of financial policies on economic growth and development.
He serves as a reviewer for the Commission for University Education (CUE), external examiner for the University of Embu, Adventist University of Africa, and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology as well as an editorial member of the Africa Development Finance Journal. Dr. Ondabu is a reviewer for the KCA Journal of Business and Management (Kenya), Journal of Global Economics, Management and Business Research (India), Journal of Basic and Applied Research International (USA), British Journal of Economics, Management and Trade (UK), Issues in Business Management and Economics (Nigeria) and the Asian Journal of Agricultural Extension, Economics and Sociology (UK & USA).
