Data subjects should consider whether they can achieve the intended result informally using a self-service systems such as the Student Portal, Staff Portal, or by contacting the relevant department directly.

If a member of staff is unsure about whether or not to respond to a request by a data subject, or feels that a request should be refused, they should contact the Data Protection Officer for advice.
