Course Overview
The Diploma in Pedagogy and Instruction curriculum has been designed with the main purpose of preparing teachers and educators for the technical institutions in Kenya. It is designed to produce teachers with an in-depth understanding of the subject matter, sound professional skills and ability to adapt to the ever-changing Educational needs in Kenya. Its focus is on quality instruction in technical institutions. The content of the curriculum has been determined by the professional requirements of the teaching profession, the fundamental principles governing the discipline/academic areas and the students' unique needs for further education in their areas of interest and ability. The design and implementation of the Diploma in Pedagogy and Instruction is a response to the need to have appropriately trained technical educators in Kenya. The proposed curriculum will bridge the gap created by the scarcity of highly trained manpower in the field of Education.
