Course Overview

This course is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of backend web development using Python, with a focus on popular frameworks like Django and Flask. It equips participants with the skills necessary to build robust and scalable web applications, emphasizing server-side programming, database integration, and API development.

Entry Qualifications

To be eligible for admission, the applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

• Have basic computing skills and understanding
OR
• Have Basic Excel skills

Teaching methodology

The course will be delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online/virtual sessions, utilizing the university Learning Management System (LMS) and a range of technologies. The coursework will be covered through the following approaches:

• Interactive coding sessions
• Peer programming
• Hackathons
• Practical project
• Peer Discussions & Sharing

Program Duration & Structure

The Python Programming Basics course is designed to be completed over 10 weeks.

• Full time– Physical Mode of delivery
• Weekends (Friday 5:30 to 8:30 PM) Saturday 10:00 AM – 13:00 PM) – Online Mode of delivery
