JOB OBJECTIVE

  • The job holder will oversee academic programs related to teaching and research functions at the campus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster academic discipline and integrity of academic processes at the campus in liaison with the campus director.
  • Promote the implementation of academic activities through the provision of relevant teaching, learning, and research resources.
  • Liaise with the Campus Librarians to ensure that the campus library is equipped with relevant and adequate resources.
  • Liaise with University Registrar to streamline admission processes at the campus as per the needs of various schools.
  • Develop and manage Academic support programs in line with the University calendar of events.
  • Developing strategies to improve student performance and completion levels.
  • Counsel students on academic performance and behaviour on a need basis.
  • Supervise teaching functions by faculty at the campus and provide relevant reports to the director.
  • Facilitate the provision of teaching and examination resources at the campus level.
  • Serve as the campus representative at exams moderation exercises.
  • Spearhead the activities of the research, innovation, and outreach division at the campus.
  • Identify and plan relevant research training on the part of students and faculty of the campus.
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • An earned PhD from an accredited and recognized university.
  • At least six (6) years of demonstrated quality and progressive teaching experience at the University level as a Senior Lecturer.
