JOB OBJECTIVE

  • The position holder shall be responsible for training and supporting Open and Distance Education (ODE) instructors in creating/developing and updating electronic/digital content.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production of multimedia digital assets to support online learning.
  • Train users on the use and development of multimedia content.
  • Ensure seamless integration of multimedia content within the LMS, ensuring content is accessible and user-friendly.
  • Plan, shoot, edit and produce instructional videos, lectures, and tutorials using video editing software and equipment.
  • Ensure the quality and functionality of multimedia content, testing for compatibility and accessibility.
  • Keep multimedia content up to date, making necessary revisions and updates based on feedback and changes in course materials and current trends.
  • Support the development of online course content and the production process.
  • Provide technical support to students and instructors using the LMS, assisting with any multimedia-related issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices for online education to enhance the quality of multimedia content.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Instructional Design, or any related Computing field.
  • Master’s Degree in Multimedia Development is an added advantage.

OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • At least three (3) year’s proven experience in multimedia development, preferably in e-learning content creation
  • Must have supervised employees in general support services
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) and its functionality.

COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency with multimedia authoring tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Adobe-InDesign, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Adobe Flash or similar.
  • Strong video production and graphic design skills and the ability to create engaging visuals.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
