Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaiah I.C. Wakindiki concluded his campus tours with our Town Campus Monrovia in Nairobi. The Vice Chancellor was received by the campus Principal Prof. Simon Ngigi who also introduced him to the rest of the campus staff. While addressing members of staff at town campus, Prof. Wakindiki assured the team that he will provide leadership with a common vision that will inspire each one to realize their potential as they work together to advance and transform KCA University. The VC was accompanied by CHRMA Patricia Opande, Director Human Resources and Strategic Communications.
On his maiden visit to our Western campus Kisumu, Prof. Wakindiki was accompanied by his predecessor Prof. Noah. O. Midamba. He met members of staff and the campus management team led by the campus Principal Mr. Roggers Abong’o. The Vice Chancellor later paid a courtesy call on H.E Hon. Dr. Mathew Owili, the Deputy Governor of Kisumu County Government.
The leaders discussed, the role played by universities in shaping governance through policy and research implementation. This was to reaffirm KCA University’s long standing relationship with the county government of Kisumu as a key partner in education and capacity development.
The Vice Chancellor also visited our Kitengela Campus where he was received by the campus Principal Mr. Mackred Ochieng. Mr. Ochieng briefed the Vice Chancellor about current and future developments of the campus in line with the University Strategic Plan 2019-2023. The VC also met Kitengela staff members for introduction. Prof. Wakindiki reminded staff members that KCA University will always remain a data and technology driven referral university in the region.
